Light in the Kiva

Enlightenment is often a word referring to those who are no longer “in the dark”, and who are now smart enough to realize their normal and logical capabilities. However, with the start of a reason and a focus on the inner workings of human minds and rational behavior, there came a great loss of spiritual passion and energy. The focal point of life was no longer centered around God, but instead upon the series of material life and academic intelligence. Although we are now considered “enlightened”, possibly prior to the Enlightenment Era, we were of more sound minds. Maybe we have already rushed right through the Enlightenment Era, and now we are stuck “in the dark”. Regardless of its consequences, those who founded Enlightenment thought, such as, Immanuel Kant, François-Marie Arouet de Voltaire, and John Locke are especially profound in their explanation of what we as humans are capable of and ought to be doing.
